What is ' Dry Steam'
Dry steam is an expression used on equipment that produces a small amount of water compared to the volume of vapor generated. Dry steam is only 5% water compared to the volume of vapor. It is not to be confused with the steam cleaners that people normally think of, large high powered pressure washers. The water in the boiler of a dry steam cleaning machine is super-heated to temperatures of 150oC or more which, when released into the atmosphere through the nozzle evaporates causing dry steam. All of the heat is maintained within centimeters of the exit point and at these temperatures the dry steam cleans, de-greases and kills bacteria better than any contact cleaner. 2.5 liters of water in a boiler will last up to three hours continuous use.
